Privacy Policy
Bubbles Browser is an AI-free Android web browser. This policy explains what the app stores, what can leave the device when you use browser features, and the choices available to you.
Information stored on your device
Bubbles Browser stores browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, open tabs, profiles, settings, protection statistics, and cached privacy lists locally on your device. Saved credentials and clipboard entries are encrypted using Android-backed security and remain local unless you deliberately paste or submit them somewhere.
The app does not provide a Bubbles Browser account, cloud synchronization, analytics, telemetry, an advertising SDK, or a developer-operated tracking service.
Browsing and third-party websites
Like any browser, Bubbles Browser sends website addresses, searches, form entries, cookies, and normal network requests to the websites and search providers you choose. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Bubbles Browser cannot control how an external website handles information you provide to it.
Enabled privacy lists are downloaded from their published sources so the app can apply supported blocking rules. Android System WebView supplies the website-rendering engine.
Optional permissions
- Location: A secure website can request approximate or precise location. The app asks you first and Android also controls the permission. Background location is not requested.
- Camera and microphone: A secure website can request these for calls, recording, or media capture. Access is provided only after you approve the request and grant Android permission.
- Music and audio: Used to select and play audio stored on your device. This is not required for ordinary browsing.
- Notifications: Used for download and media playback information when you allow notifications.
You can revoke optional permissions at any time from Android Settings under Apps, Bubbles Browser, Permissions.
Password breach checks
If you choose to check saved passwords for known breaches, the app uses the Have I Been Pwned k-anonymity range service. Only the first five hexadecimal characters of a SHA-1 password hash are sent. Your password and its complete hash are not sent.
Downloads and media
Files are requested from the website or direct media address you choose and are handled through Android services. Streaming services, websites, and media providers may collect information under their own terms and may require accounts or subscriptions.
Data retention and deletion
You can clear history, downloads, saved credentials, clipboard entries, cookies, and website storage from the app's controls. You can delete individual profiles in the app. Uninstalling Bubbles Browser removes its private local app data according to Android behavior. Files saved to shared Downloads may need to be deleted separately using Android's Files app.
Because Bubbles Browser has no developer-operated account or cloud storage, there is no remote account data to request for deletion.
Children
Bubbles Browser is a general-purpose browser and is not directed specifically to children. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising website access and device permissions.
Security and changes
No browser can guarantee that every unsafe website, tracker, or download will be detected. Keep Android and Android System WebView updated. This policy may be updated when app behavior or legal requirements change; the effective date above will identify the latest revision.
